Madis was a true friend of Winchester through many years and was considered one of the World's most knowledgeable resources on Winchester firearms. Although many in the current generation have not been exposed to his research, for the rest of us he will always be 'Mr. Winchester.' Buffalo Bill Historic Center / Cody Museum -- This is probably the only place in the world that contains significant original information on historic Winchester rifles and shotguns. The Cody Museum has resources for doing original research and even provides certification letters on Winchester firearms (for a fee).
