Error 22 Diablo 2
So I got inspired by MrLlama to play some Diablo II with PlugY. I've never used PlugY before, and I'm having trouble installing it. When I download the D2 and LoD installers from the Battle.net site, they'll give me version 1.14D. PlugY refuses to run on anything higher than 1.13D. I've tried downgrading, but I keep killing my game every time (blank error messages and refusal to run). I've tried using D2SE Mod Manager, but it refuses to run (It just gives me 1.14B for some reason).
Many of us are enjoying the recent release of Diablo III but some of us still love to play Diablo II Lord of Destruction, and with Windows 8, that can be a little problematic. Diablo II Lord of Destruction is an outstanding game that became an instant classic when it was released on June 29th. Diablo.net, accessed on 2018-12-02 ↑ 2019-02-21, Marcus Sellars. Twitter, accessed on 2019-03-05 ↑ 2019, February, Blizzard is hiring more Diablo devs to work on 'several projects'. PC Gamer, accessed on 2019-03-13 ↑ 2019-06-06, Blizzard rumored to have canceled StarCraft FPS game to focus on Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2.
I REALLY don't feel like going through my storage in the basement to look for my old CD's so I can install them and then upgrade that install to 1.13C. Is there an easier way to downgrade 1.14D to 1.13C or to obtain older install files?
This error can be multiple different things. The best way to solve it is to try each fix one by one until it works. I recommend trying fix #1 first.
Fix #1: How to install Glide 3dfx
Fix #2: Run D2VidTst.exe from your Path of Diablo folder (usually under C:ProgramFilesDiablo II). Also at the end of the vidtest, select Glide3dx if you've done Fix 1.
Fix #3: Diablo II struggles with fullscreen. Sometimes a simple solution is just to force windowed mode. You can do that either via our launcher and checking off 'windowed' or by editing the Diablo shortcut on your desktop. Right click the shortcut and go to Properties and make sure the 'Target:' field has a -w behind the quotation marks, see highlighted text in this picture here.
Fix #4: Click Start menu (windows button), right click Computer, click Properties, Advanced settings, Performance settings, Data execution, add Diablo II.exe to the list.
Fix #5: The above solutions usually work, but in the event where you still have a problem with 'Unhandled Exception: Access Violation (c0000005)' read this guide to fixing that issue by Karakaz. It will help you get D2 working.
Requires uninstalling the game and then following this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hol0aOq32-Y Downgrading to 1.13 is no longer required with the latest PoD launcher.
Fix #1: Wait 10 minutes before joining a new game.
Fix #2: Create a new account (or login to an alternate account) and make a new character and join any game. Then go back to your main account and character, everything should work.
Fix #1: Install Glide3dfx
Fix #2: With Glide3dfx installed, run glide-init.exe located in your Path of Diablo folder and then increase Texture Memory to 80mb and buffer-texture-size to 4096x4096.

Completely log out of your account and then try again.
Reboot your D2 and it will work.
Server might actually be down
If you used BNGatewayEdidtor: You probably made a mistake when editing the server info in the battle.net gateway editor. Try again and make sure there are no blank spaces near the ip address.
Alternatively, we recommend you use our all-in-one Path of Diablo Launcher that can setup the gateway editor for you automatically.
Right click icon; run as administrator
Right click icon; properties; check Compatibilty XP(SP2/SP3)
Alternatively, we recommend you use the Path of Diablo Launcher and 'Run D2 as Admin'
You are not using an English game. An English installation of Diablo II LoD is required. (Scroll below to learn how to change to english)

Diablo 2 Error 25
Go here and click 'patch_d2.mpq' to download the file: https://github.com/GreenDude120/PoD-Launcher/releases/tag/1
Put the 'patch_d2.mpq' into your Path of Diablo folder found within your Diablo II installation folder, overwriting the file already in there.
Launch the game via the Diablo II shortcut or game.exe (found in Path of Diablo folder) instead of the Path of Diablo Launcher
